1. Annual Jalsa was held on 17 September 2011 at As-Salaam School at 14:00pm(Grade R to Grade 9)

  1. Coastal College As-Salaam Campus- new electrical workshop under construction.8 additional classrooms completed in January 2011

  2. Islamic Leadership Students-Ramadaan collection of Fitra monies, Hampers made and distributed to the poor community.

  1. Foundation Phase Excursion(06.09.2011)-112 students visited the Durban Museum and Mitchell Park for lunch

5.  Inter-phase Excursion(07.09.2011)-50 students visited the Durban museum, Durban Harbor and Mitchell park for   lunch
  1. Senior Phase(07.09.2011)-80 students visited the Galleria mall and watched a movie, and had lunch at the Amanzimtoti beach.

  1. Normen Vezi was chosen as 1 of 2 students from Kwa-Zulu Natal as an exchange student to go to the United State of America for a 10 month period. He resided in Manchester and attended Park Way South High school where he excelled academically and in the sporting field. He returned to South Africa on the 4th of July 2011.

  1. Admission for 2012 Islamic Leadership programme now open, The programme consists of Leadership Training, Lifeskills, Hadith, Qur’an Studies, History, Arabic etc…

  1. Inshallah we will be entering 12 of our athletes for Comrades Marathon 2012.

  1. We have entered 18 Islamic Leadership students for Advanced Management Diploma at MANCOSA.

  2. School admission opens from October for grade R to grade 9.

  1. Six of our educators, including four Islamiat educators will be completing their NPDE (National Professional Diploma in Education) at UKZN this year.
